The Organizing Committee of the Bimonthly Organic Solid-State Symposium – BOSSs for short – extends a hearty welcome to all our participants. The past two years have compelled us to test the virtual world as an effective way to maintain the collaborative spirit so integral to the scientific community. We’ve been catapulted into a new virtual reality, and while “in-person” meetings are becoming a reality again, we’ve learned what an invaluable tool virtual platforms like ZOOM can be in uniting the scientific community in ways that wouldn’t otherwise be feasible.

BOSSs is a spinoff from the highly successful Virtual Symposium on Solid-State Organic Chemistry (VS3OC), held the past three years in 2020, ‘21, and ‘22, and organized by investigators from New York University and Merck & Co., Inc. as two-day meetings. BOSSs is configured differently, as virtual bi-monthly mini-meetings, but retaining the mission of showcasing frontier research from a slate of international experts, graduate students and postdocs at the cutting edge of organic solid-state chemistry in academia and industry.

We invite you to browse this website for more information about the program, registration, and our speakers’ research image gallery.

The symposium is grateful for support from the GOALI program of the National Science Foundation, Division of Materials Research under Award DMR-2002964 and the NYU Molecular Design Institute
