Michaela Loveless

Michaela is a 5th-year Ph.D. Candidate in Organic Chemistry and Materials Physics at Indiana University (advisor: Amar Flood). Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of molecular fluorophores to predestine the position and orientation of dyes in the crystal lattice and to deliver targeted optical properties to crystals and thin films. Her work is motivated by improving the efficiency of solar energy harvesting.
