Amal Mohamed Bio

I earned my B.S. from Zewail City of Science and Technology, where I developed mixed-matrix membranes incorporating metal-organic frameworks for the detection and removal of organic dyes from water. I am currently a graduate student at Penn State in the Elacqua group, where I synthesize carbon nanothreads and investigate their potential as composite fillers and their fundamental properties.
